WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE ON AUGUST 23?

We recommend arriving during your arrival window below to expedite your check-in process. However, flexibility will be exercised to accommodate the arrival of all residents and their families.

New USF Students 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Continuing USF Students 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
New College Students 12:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    • 4th Floor NC Residents
 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
    • 3rd Floor NC Residents
 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

If you are unable to arrive before 5 p.m. on August 23, residents will be able to check into their room at the Atala Hall service desk located on the first floor. For Atala Hall service desk hours, click here.

Grand Opening's 3 Steps to Moving In on August 23

Grand Opening Day is one of celebration, transition, and support. Whether you arrive on your own or with family and friends, know that as a USF Bull, you will be welcomed by staff, faculty, and fellow students when you get to campus. Please follow our 3 Steps to Move-In when you arrive on August 23.

  • Step One: Check-In inside the Ballroom

    • When you arrive on campus, make your way to the Ballroom on the first floor of the Student Center where our team will help you check-in and get access to your room

      Stay Together! Every member of your group must stay together. Family members cannot unload belongings until their resident receives their key(s). By having the key(s) in hand, you can avoid unnecessary delays while moving in.

  • Step Two: Unload Your Belongings

    • It’s time to move in your belongings! Approximately 20 courtesy carts will be available during Grand Opening on a first-come, first-served basis, but we encourage families to bring their own carts and hand trucks to assist with the move-in process.

  • Step Three: Set Up Your Room!

Grand Opening Move-In 9:00 a.m. -  4:00 p.m.
Resource Fair Noon - 2:00 p.m.

USF Orientation
(Required for all new USF freshman)

 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
USF Sarasota-Manatee Block Party 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
