Future Sarasota-Manatee Campus

As part of the University of South Florida, a global, preeminent research university and member of the prestigious Association of American Universities, USF Sarasota-Manatee is expertly positioned to build and retain talent locally with its academic programs, relationships with the business community and commitment to student success in all endeavors.

After 18 years of progress in a single campus building, our capacity for growth is constrained and lacking the resources necessary to support in-demand careers, limiting future contributions to the talent pipeline in the Sarasota-Manatee region.

Our new Campus Student Center and Atala Residence Hall are complete, a key moment in our plans to meet the needs of our students, faculty and the community. We are equally committed to building a Nursing/STEM building in which we will expand our academic and research programs, in partnership with our community, to ensure the continued success and attractiveness of the region.

Nursing / STEM

The Nursing/STEM building, with its modern classrooms, labs and research space, will define the future of USF Sarasota-Manatee campus by preparing students for careers in nursing, engineering, science and other fields; and offering our faculty a place for their research. The benefits will be countless for our community.

Student Housing

The new six-story, 100,000-square-foot Campus Student Center and Atala Residence Hall, home to 200 students, was designed and built to enhance student success, by boosting student recruitment and retention efforts and growing on-campus engagement. The building also includes a dining area, a bookstore and a ballroom that is available for community events.
