Fossil Hunters: Honors students travel 400 million years into the past with study away course
Led by USF Sarasota-Manatee Professor Lydia Wassink, Fossil Hunters is a Maymester Honors study away course that takes students on a hands-on exploration of Ordovician-era fossils. The program includes a trip to the Midwest where students collect fossils, learn virtual mapping skills, and create projects showcasing evolutionary concepts.

Manatees are undoubtedly a part of Florida culture. But they might also be relatively new residents in the Sunshine State, according to a research paper written by Thomas Pluckhahn, a professor of anthropology at the University of South Florida.
