Thousands of USF alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends will come together between April 10 and 14 for USF Giving Week, a spirited, week-long celebration, during which the Sarasota-Manatee campus will raise funds to support construction of a new Nursing/STEM building and the success of its students.
USF Sarasota-Manatee Campus Student Success Fund
Support for the USF Sarasota-Manatee Campus Student Success Fund will impact programs
and people across campus by providing immediate support to deans and program directors
when they need it most. This fund ensures Sarasota-Manatee campus students experience
all that a USF education has to offer by covering academic conference travel expenses,
guest speaker fees and other campus celebrations and events.
Building for the Future
Support for the Building for the Future fund will aid expansion of the Sarasota-Manatee
campus, including the campus’s first-ever Student Center and Residence Hall and development
of a Nursing/STEM building.
The campus expansion project will enhance student success, boost student recruitment and retention efforts, and grow on-campus engagement, as well as provide advanced labs and research facilities with additional programs to support career preparation for nursing and STEM-related fields.
Support-a-Bull Food Pantry
Financial support of the Support-A-Bull Food Pantry ensures the pantry is stocked
with nutritious offerings and helps students in need continue to focus on their studies
instead of worrying about their next meal.
Events throughout Giving Week will help to support a food drive for the USF Feed-A-Bull pantry. Donations of shelf stable food items and personal hygiene items are welcome during any business day at the Main Rotunda desk. Food contributions must be non-perishable and free of dents, cannot be expired or opened, and must be in original packaging/labeling. Click here to see a full list of drop-off locations and times.
Donations made during Giving Week may be matched by one of many generous committed donors. If the university receives more than 5,000 unique gifts, the USF Federal Credit Union will make a $50,000 donation to the Office of Veteran Success.
All fundraising projects will close on April 14.
USF Giving Week coincides with USF Week, an annual celebration of the university’s history and its ties with its community. A number of events are planned for the Sarasota-Manatee campus, including a bingo night; a luau marking the birthday of USF’s mascot, Rocky D. Bull; and a carnival featuring rides, food and games in the Sarasota-Manatee campus’s south parking lot.
