The latest episode of “Inside USF: The Podcast,” features an interview with University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee campus Regional Chancellor Karen Holbrook, in which she discusses expansion plans for the campus, including the upcoming groundbreaking for the new student center and residential housing complex; and planning for a new Nursing/STEM building that will allow the campus to grow its nursing, engineering and other academic programs.
“We’re growing physically, and we’re growing academically, and that is really exciting,” Holbrook said in the interview.
Holbrook also discusses her academic career as a medical researcher and college administrator; her family; and her love of the seabirds that visit with her at her Longboat Key home.
Leading the Sarasota-Manatee campus, Holbrook said, has been “one of the most fun experiences I’ve had. We have phenomenal people.”
