Dr. Deryol earned a B.A. from the Police Academy in Turkey in 1997, and served in several positions within the Turkish National Police after graduation in 1997. He earned a M.S. in Computer Forensics from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, NY, in 2009. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati in 2015. He is currently an instructor of Criminology at the University of South Florida-Sarasota Manatee campus. His research focuses on quantitative analyses including data mining, victimization, environmental criminology, crime prevention, and evaluating crime prevention efforts or policies.
