Dr. Brianne L. Reck is an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership in the College of Education. A former middle school teacher and administrator, and a graduate of University of Virginia, Dr. Reck joined the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee campus faculty after serving for eight years as Coordinator of the Educational Leadership Program at the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg, and two years at the University of North Carolina Wilmington in the same capacity.
In Virginia, North Carolina and Florida, she has worked extensively with local school districts to develop District/University partnerships to foster teacher leadership, engage families and communities to support student learning, and to prepare educational leaders who create safe and equitable learning environments for all students. Dr. Reck’s teaching and scholarship address models of supervision that enhance teacher interaction, the equitable implementation of educational policy, the creation of effective learning environments and opportunities for traditionally underrepresented populations.
